BEE-lieve it or not, bee pollen helps me cope with MS!

Is it possible that bee pollen is actually helping those living with MS?

“Be(e)lieve you me– I thought that that bee pollen granules were the farthest thing in the world from helping me cope with my Multiple Sclerosis– but now, even I am a be(e)liever!” – Lisa Dasis on Bee Pollen Granules

It seems like I am finally feeling better, thank goodness. Not sure exactly what to attribute it to but it seems like it might be related to a new product that I have been taking– bee pollen granules. We have all heard and probably tried every alternative treatment for living with Multiple Sclerosis, but this one may actually be doing something for me.  Remember, this is just my own personal experience, and so make sure that you consult with the proper doctors prior to changing anything in your own personal medication regimen. But certainly, tell me how this may work for you!

Since the first of May (2013), I can’t begin to explain just how horrible things have been with my MS; and with haven taken two rounds of antibiotics and one round of steroids without much results, the only thing that has changed is: I started taking the bee pollen every day. My husband picked a bag up from our local Farmers Marker and it was only $15 dollars for a 3 month supply. It looks likes small granules almost like the cereal Grape Nuts. You can sprinkle it over yogurt, cereal, put it is liquids, or just put it in your mouth and chew it up. I started off with ¼ of a tsp. for one week then ½ tsp on week two graduating to 1-2 tsp. for a maintenance dose. My fatigue has improved dramatically and pain level reduced as well; just over all feel better.

So what is Bee Pollen Granules?  The honeybee collects pollen from flowers and mixes it with its own digestive enzymes. It reportedly rejuvenates your body, stimulates organs and glands, enhances vitality, and brings about a longer life span from what the literature reads. Having said that, what does this mean in lay terms?

Below is a list of what researchers have said it will do for you:

  • Complete Nutrition :  Contains 18 vitamins, 25 natural minerals, 22 amino acids, 11 enzymes/coenzymes, 14 fatty acids, 11 carbohydrates, and approximately 20% protein. There are 22 basic elements is the human body – enzymes, hormones, vitamins, amino acids, and others – which must be renewed by nutrient intake. No one single food contains them all EXCEPT bee pollen.
  • Resistance to Allergies: Reduces the presence of histamine, alleviating many allergies. It helps with asthma, sinus problems, and other allergies.
  • Energy Levels:  With the range of nutrients found in the pollens, it makes a natural energizer. The carbohydrates, protein and B vitamins help keep you going all day by enhancing stamina and fighting off fatigue.
  • Natural Weight Control:  1 tsp of pollen taken 10-15 minutes before eating stabilizes metabolism. It is rich in lecithin which causes a speedy increase in calorie burning and aids in digestion
  • Alleviates Migraine Headaches:  it helps reduce and eliminate migraine headaches.
  • Cardiovascular Health: Bell Pollen contains large amounts of Rutin; an antioxidant bioflavonoid, that help strengthen capillaries, blood vessels that assist with circulatory problems and also helps cholesterol levels. Its anti-clotting powers could help prevent heart attack and stroke.
  • Speeds the Healing of Wounds
  • Helps with Digestive Problems

Whether or not this is true or not, it is the only change that I have made in my daily life that seems to be producing positive results for me.  Talk to your doctor about bee pollen granules… because MSlisaSAYS!   Time for more sweet tea, y’all.
